Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 06 November 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all transactions conducted through shinexta for enrolment in professional courses focused on live television production. These include modules on studio equipment integration, dynamic camera techniques, acoustic optimisation, lighting setups and reliable production processes for news programmes, interviews and live shows. The policy governs payments for digital course access, live workshops, downloadable materials and any bundled subscription services offered to customers located in the United Kingdom. It covers both one-time purchases and recurring subscriptions where applicable. All services are delivered electronically unless otherwise stated at the point of purchase.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Any Additional Charges

All prices displayed on the website are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax at the prevailing UK rate unless explicitly marked otherwise. Customers are responsible for any additional charges such as bank fees, currency conversion costs or internet service provider charges that may arise when completing payment. shinexta reserves the right to adjust prices at any time prior to the formation of a contract. Any price changes will not affect existing confirmed bookings. Where promotional discounts apply, the final price shown at checkout will reflect the reduced amount after any applicable tax.

Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation and Payment Security

We accept major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and American Express together with other secure payment gateways available at checkout. Payment is authorised at the time the order is placed. All transactions are processed through PCI DSS compliant providers to ensure the security of card details. shinexta does not store complete card information on its own servers. Authorisation confirms that sufficient funds are available. In the event of a declined payment the order will not be processed and the customer will be notified immediately.

Order, Booking or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed

A contract is formed once the customer receives an order confirmation email following successful payment. This email will detail the course access credentials, start dates where applicable and terms of access. Until this confirmation is issued no contract exists and shinexta is not obliged to provide the services. Customers should retain the confirmation email for their records as it constitutes proof of purchase.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 customers in the United Kingdom have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation during which they may cancel without providing a reason. For digital content and services the cancellation right may be lost once the customer begins to access or download the material. Customers must notify shinexta of cancellation within this period using the contact details provided below. Cancellation requests made after the cooling-off period will be considered at the discretion of shinexta subject to the refund eligibility criteria outlined in subsequent sections.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items or Services

Refunds are available where the customer exercises their statutory cancellation rights within the cooling-off period and has not commenced access to the digital content. Courses that have been fully accessed or completed are generally non-refundable. Promotional bundles, gift vouchers and third-party materials supplied as part of a course are excluded from refund unless they remain unused. Refunds will not be granted for changes of mind after the cooling-off period or for failure to meet personal expectations regarding course content.

The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund

To request a refund the customer must submit a written request via the contact form on the Contacts page or by emailing [email protected]. The request should include the order number, full name, email address associated with the purchase and a clear statement of the reason for the refund. Supporting evidence such as screenshots of access issues may be requested. Requests must be made within the applicable time limits. shinexta will acknowledge receipt of the request within five working days.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of the Refund Decision

Upon receipt of a refund request shinexta will inspect the account to verify whether access to the course materials has occurred. A decision will be communicated within 14 days. If approved the customer will receive confirmation of the refund amount and expected processing timeline. If rejected the customer will be provided with a clear explanation and information on any available appeal process or alternative remedies.

Refund Method, Processing Time and When Funds Should Reach the Customer

Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method where possible. Processing typically takes between five and ten working days although this may vary depending on the payment provider. Customers should allow up to 30 days for funds to appear in their account. If the original method is unavailable an alternative method such as bank transfer may be arranged following verification of identity.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services or Promotional Offers

Digital course content is supplied immediately upon payment and therefore the statutory cancellation right may be lost once access begins. Subscription services renew automatically unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. Customers may cancel subscriptions at any time but refunds for unused portions will only be considered within the initial cooling-off period. Promotional offers are subject to their own terms and may not be eligible for refund if the offer explicitly states non-refundable conditions.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

In the event of a failed payment the customer will be notified and given the opportunity to provide alternative payment details. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded promptly once verified. Chargeback requests will be handled in accordance with card scheme rules. shinexta reserves the right to investigate suspected fraudulent activity and may suspend access or report incidents to relevant authorities where necessary.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom That the Policy Cannot Exclude

This policy does not affect any statutory rights available under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or the Data Protection Act 2018. Customers retain the right to seek remedies for faulty digital content or services that do not conform to the description provided at the time of purchase. Nothing in this policy excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
